Hi, it has been a while since I have added anything to my blog, life has been so busy! I have been working on my design portfolio and preparing for the annual Stitch Gathering event which takes place on October 6 this year at Napier University and is always a fantastic day! I am teaching a workshop in the afternoon on embroidered typography and am really looking forward to it.
Recently I was delighted to be invited to the Embroiders Guild in Dundee to talk about my work and share some of sketchbooks and embroidered pieces. It was such a lovely day, the sun was shining the train journey up to Dundee from Glasgow was beautiful. I found my way to the University of Abertay where I was met by the lovely Petra from the guild who kept me right with the programme for the day. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming, it really was such a perfect way to spend an afternoon. I am excited to visit Dundee again soon, it really is a gorgeous city filled with lovely people. I was treated to a delicious coffee and piece of home baking at this lovely coffee shop by a kind Canadian lady member of the guild. It really was a fabulous day.
So with the Stitch Gathering fast approaching I am frantically preparing my kits which I will have on sale on the day. I also have a few workshops coming up at Fabric and More in Bo'ness another delightful place, so if you are keen to learn how to make a clutch bag or embroider some lovely artwork please email me to book your place.
In the meantime if you are interested in any classes or would like me to come to your setting and run a workshop please drop me an email,
Hope you have had a great Monday!
